  • Leon & Harper perfume

We asked the new kid on the block of French perfumery, Barnabé Fillion, 33, to create the Leon & Harper fragrance. His brief? "I had the idea of a feminine church," says Philippe Corbin. The young nose has created an ample and inspiring juice. The Leon & Harper fragrance has given up using chemical formulas and combines raw materials: incense and myrrh come together with the metallic energy of civet and smoky accents. "Like tension between the sacred and the profane," says Barnabé Fillion. I wanted a perfume that accompanies contemporary women, who want to preserve their ideal of authenticity despite the stress of urban life that is often hard to bear." It is this tension we love in young women today.

The Leon & Harper fragrance is an olfactory dialogue between the sensuality of contemplation and the chaos of today's life. Like a discreet nod (in the morning in her bathroom) to the gods of good encounters & self-confidence — the spirits of coolness.

What's the story behind the Leon & Harper fragrance?

It starts with an unexpected phone call: when Philippe Corbin called the young nose, Barnabé Fillion, to ask him to create the fragrance for his brand, Fillion said that he was very busy, but adding: "With a name like that, I won't forget you!" — Why do you say that? — One of my favourite books on the history of perfume is The Foul and the Fragrant by the historian Alain Corbin. — It's my father! "

What an extraordinary coincidence! A few months later, Barnabé Fillion presented his creation to Leon & Harper. And Philippe Corbin introduced him to his father Alain.
